Virtual OPS Support Clinician in Training Remote Position : Must Reside in CT, NY, NJ, or MA
About the Position :
The Virtual OPS Support Clinician is responsible for collaborating with a multi-disciplinary treatment team to create an individualized recovery experience that incorporates the body, mind, and spirit of each client. The Virtual OPS Support Clinician's role is to assist the Outpatient Centralized Support Office. The Virtual OPS Support Clinician will conduct comprehensive intake assessments for clients seeking outpatient services as well as provide individual, group, and case management support as needed / identified.

Wednesday : 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm
Thursday : 11 : 00am-7 : 00pm
Friday : 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm
Saturday : 9 : 00am-5 : 00pm
Your Role :
- Conduct intake assessments under supervision to determine appropriate levels of care and support timely client access.
- Deliver virtual case management services to support continuity of care and client engagement.
- Collect comprehensive client histories, including substance use, mental health, medical background, and psychosocial factors.
- Complete accurate, clinically informed assessments for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions under supervisory guidance.
- Review and integrate discharge records from previous treatment providers to support treatment planning and continuity.
- Facilitate and coordinate referrals for urinalyses and other intake requirements.
- Develop informed recommendations based on assessment findings, in consultation with supervising clinicians.
- Coordinate referrals to internal and external services, including Family Wellness, Psychiatric Services, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MATS), and other specialized programs.
- Create collaborative, strengths-based treatment plans that support client stability and long-term recovery.
- Utilize approved screening tools, assessment instruments, stage-wise interventions, and evidence-based treatment models.
- Develop care plans that address the therapeutic needs of clients and support ongoing recovery efforts.
- Coordinate client treatment with internal programs, clinical staff, and external stakeholders to ensure continuity of care.
- Communicate and collaborate with family members, referents, and previous providers (as appropriate) to support comprehensive care.
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record system in accordance with agency, state, federal, and accreditation requirements, including same-day documentation standards.
- Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and confidentiality standards governing clinical practice.
- Participate in individual and group clinical supervision to enhance clinical skills, receive feedback, and ensure quality of care.
- Attend all required trainings, workshops, and professional development opportunities as assigned by the supervisor.
- Engage in ongoing learning to strengthen clinical competency, assessment skills, and therapeutic effectiveness.
- Work collaboratively with the Mountainside team to ensure coordinated, integrated, and effective client care.
- Support departmental workflows, contribute to interdisciplinary communication, and assist with program needs as assigned.
Qualifications :
Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field (required).Actively pursuing associate or full licensure (e.g., MHC-LP, LMFTA, LMSW, etc.) and willing to pursue licensure in CT, NY, NJ, and / or MA with agency support.Graduation from a CACREP-accredited or CSWE / NASW-accredited program preferred.CASAC, CAC, LADC / LCADC, preferred.Experience or strong foundational knowledge in substance use, co-occurring disorders, or integrated treatment (required).Experience with intake assessments, group facilitation, or outpatient services (preferred).Previous work or training experience in virtual or telehealth environments is a plus.Compensation :
The base rate of pay for this position is $25.00 to $31.00 per Hour. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.

Salary Description
$25 to $31 per Hour
