Position Summary :
The Project Manager will deliver multiple simultaneous projects on time and within budget, focusing on business outcomes, team management, budgeting, planning, and scheduling. Manage the implementation of an event such as process improvement initiatives, network redesign or systems deployment within a Region. Responsible for the formalization of a realistic timeline, complete with milestones, targets and identification of responsible parties. Handles many tasks and assignments directly, delegating as needed to other subject matter experts. Will ensure buy-in and facilitate regular communication to convey progress, inhibitors or roadblocks to the successful completion of all projects.
Responsibilities : People :
Responsible for the development, implementation, and adoption of project management tools and practices within the facility.
Responsible for educating team members on lean practices and tools.
If needed will negotiate with diverse teams of people (IT, Engineering, sales, customers, vendors) in a multinational, multicultural environment.
Provide regular performance feedback to team members.
Oversee all facility training and process improvement initiatives.
Coach, mentor and motivate project teams - Ensure Accountability of Assigned Work
Safety :
Instill in the operations leadership team that safe performance is a critical element required to achieve success and is recognized as an indicator of management effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and procedures.
Hold team members, peers, and facilities accountable for safety issues / concerns.
Operations :
Lead project scope development and options analysis.
Develop project implementation strategy and implementation schedule.
Develop and maintain project documentation.
Coordinate project activities with HR, IT, Engineering, sales and other groups as appropriate
Partner with Ops and Quality teams to audit processes to avoid process deviations.
Growth / Customer Experience :
Prepare presentations and status reports and deliver to leadership or customer.
Conduct benchmarking analysis and communicate results to leadership to establish baseline and to identify additional growth opportunities.
Finance :
Thoroughly review project budget for accuracy and report inconsistencies.
Closely manage project resources and expenses to meet forecasted budget.
Continually evaluate project to assess whether deliverable will meet company or customer's needs at the contractual rates.
Maintain PQS, Kaizen+, EAC programs to meet or exceed projected facility expectations (participation, cost reduction / avoidance, hour reduction).
