Infrastructure Program Manager Sr / Lead Level

Oxnard CA

  • Reporting To & Team Dynamics : Daily interactions with IT managers infrastructure teams and cross-department stakeholders; team culture is collaborative municipal union-structured and values diplomacy influence without force and steady follow-through.
  • Experience & Skills :

Must Haves :

Minimum 8 10 years of experience in infrastructure and program / project management.

  • Strong infrastructure domain expertise (storage server systems remediation planning)
  • Solid program / project management capability (planning delivery oversight resource coordination)
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive timelines in a union environment using calm pleasant persistence
  • Prior leadership in infra modernization programs
  • Nice-to-Haves :

    • Experience in municipal / public-sector IT

  • Familiarity with union environments
  • Purpose / Function :

    • Solving program-wide infrastructure execution needs

  • Day-to-day activities include : managing implementation plans reviewing technical plans from managers identifying risks driving execution timelines ensuring follow-through and pushing critical infrastructure initiatives forward; mission of the role involves increasing velocity of delivery across storage strategy new server systems vulnerability remediation and cross-team project alignment.
  • Work Authorization & Visa Sponsorship : only GC or US Citizens
  • Location & Flexibility : Based in Oxnard onsite 5 days per week ;
  • Urgency of Role : High urgency due to ongoing infrastructure initiatives and the need for a seasoned program leader who can quickly assess guide and accelerate execution; desire to start reviewing candidates immediately.

  • Role & Problem Solving : Essence of the role is driving infrastructure program execution-reviewing plans identifying gaps guiding managers ensuring progress and navigating slow-moving stakeholders without friction; requires influence structure and calm drive.

    • The biggest skill here is program leadership. They will be building and overseeing project plans driving timelines coordinating resources and ensuring that things move forward even when there are bottlenecks. This is a union environment so the ability to influence without force is huge. They want someone whos pleasantly persistent-firm consistent and effective but never abrasive.
