Purpose of the Job :
The trainer is responsible for researching, designing, developing and delivering technical training to employees. Trainer maintains records of training, and evaluates the effectiveness of training through testing and practical application.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
Perform on-boarding of new staff, including safety, FOD and operator training guideIdentifies and assesses technical training needs within organizationDevelops, organizes, conducts and evaluates technical training programsUse of computers
Computer systemsApplicationsMachineryOther technical productsCreate, prepare, and update program-related training content, for existing and new programsDevelops and maintains training manuals or other documentationDocuments training, assesses effectiveness and progress, reports progress and make changes to training as needed.Schedule, perform, and track all recurring and refresher trainingsFacilitate Port training and qualification by Manufacturing staffCreate and administer evaluation criteriaSite Safety CoordinationDrive safety audits
Drive safety improvements at siteDrive annual safety training and trackingManage safety logs for siteParticipate in organization safety teamsExport ComplianceMaintain visitor logs
Greet visitors and complete visitor safety trainingAssist with visitor travel as neededMaintain office supply ordering through purchasing teamPerforms any other function or responsibility as assignedKnowledge, Skills & Education :
Five to seven years of manufacturing experience preferredThis position requires initiative, motivation, creativity and ability to understand many areas of expertiseExcellent written and oral communication skills are necessary to produce and deliver quality training programs.Knowledge of Power Point, Word and Excel or similar programs.Training experience preferred.Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to effectively direct trainees and other professionals while in a training class environment and to properly evaluate comprehension and application of subject materialEligible to work on government contracts.
