Key Responsibilities

• Functional Treatment : Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OTR) to improve residents' independence in ADLs.
• Clinical Documentation : Maintain accurate daily treatment notes and progress reports in accordance with state board standards.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with nursing and the broader rehab team to ensure holistic care and successful resident outcomes.
• Patient & Family Education : Instruct residents and caregivers on the use of adaptive equipment and home modification strategies to facilitate safe discharge planning.
• Team Support : Participate in care conferences and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient progress and goals.
• Environment Safety : Ensure therapy areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained for our residents.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License in the state of California.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and a passion for geriatric and short-term rehabilitation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with residents and families.
