Description :

The position is for a registered nurse specializing in surgical services.

The role is in the operating room department.

The facility has 17 surgical suites.

An average of 65 cases are performed daily.

Common cases include pediatric and adult procedures across multiple specialties such as general, neurosurgery, orthopedic, urology, and oncology.

Registered nurses are not required to scrub in.

There is a charge nurse on each shift, available 24 / 7.

OR techs will be present to assist in the operating room.

The documentation system used is Epic.

Shifts are generally scheduled from 7 AM to 7 PM.

There is a requirement for minimal call hours, typically four hours per week.

Overnight shifts are rare but may be required.

Weekend call requirements include in-house shifts.

The hospital has a call response time of 30 minutes.

Floating to nearby surgical centers may occur if necessary, particularly for experienced individuals.

Scrubs are provided in grey.

A general and unit-specific orientation will be provided.
