Employee Benefit Plan Consultant
Collaborate with accounting firm's management to provide clients with services in areas of employee benefit plans, and assist in planning engagement objectives to retain clients for the firm. Implement audit strategies for clients that comply with professional standards and appropriately address risks. Assist in conducting the intake process of clients, including researching organizations' backgrounds, conducting technical research and participating in industry specific development necessary to engage a client with employee benefit plan requirements. Perform analytical review of internal controls and work programs prepared by the engagement team and revise as necessary with the approval of the firm's management. Resolve technical problems and review documentation by the engagement team as audits near completion. Maintain up to date knowledge of economic and political trends as well as new regulations, especially in areas related to the employee benefit industry to recognize areas of high risks and work with the appropriate experts to manage timely resolution. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery. Requirements : At least Bachelors degree in Accounting, finance or a related field with 2 years work experience in the same or a public accounting related occupation.
