Strong skills in Python and Terraform (or comparable IaC tools). Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and microservices architecture. Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms. Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and security best practices. Active TS / SCI clearance is mandatory. Salary Range : $120,000–$180,000 based on experience. Benefits Package : Includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Sick Leave (as required by law), and Holidays.
Zachary Piper Solutions is hiring a Platform Engineer to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to building and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure in onsite in Irvine, CA . This opportunity is perfect for engineers who thrive in Kubernetes-driven environments, embrace Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and enjoy supporting distributed microservices. Active TS / SCI clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect, deploy, and manage infrastructure using Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Create and maintain IaC solutions with tools like Terraform.
- Partner with development teams to enable scalable microservices, primarily using Python.
- Implement and oversee observability tools such as New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, and AWS CloudWatch.
- Configure and troubleshoot networking components including VPNs, load balancers (NLB / ALB), HTTPS, TLS, and CDNs.
- Ensure system reliability and performance within Unix / Linux environments.
