The Role : Senior Engineer, Database Engineering

The Team : We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Engineer, Database Engineering (DBA) to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of our mission critical database environments. The Senior DBA will be responsible for ensuring production stability, driving cloud database initiative on AWS, mentoring junior DBAs and shaping database strategies to meet business and technology goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of MS SQL, Oracle, Postgres SQL and MySQL.

Responsibilities : The DBA will maintain and optimize SQL Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022, Oracle 12c / 19c, Postgres 14 / 15 / 16 and MySQL databases hosted in AWS environments such as Amazon RDS, Amazon EC2, and Amazon Aurora. The role requires expertise in database performance tuning, security, cloud-based best practices and ensure continuous availability The DBA will collaborate closely with developers, system administrators, and Devops teams to ensure efficient database integration with business applications.

• Own the stability, performance and availability of all production database environments.
• Lead incident resolution, root cause analysis and prevention strategies.
• Define and enforce database operational standards, guardrails and best practices.
