[job_card.job_description]Knowledgeable and proficient in all EVS equipment, chemicals, & techniques. Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards. Ability of simple reading, writing, math, and complex task completion skills is required. Must have the following skills : coordination, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, independent judgment, and decision making. Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Minimum 6 months of janitorial floor cleaning experience or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally sitting and constantly standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift. Must be able to constantly lift / carry and push / pull up to 50lbs or less. The team members will have constant repetitive use of both feet and both hands. Team members will have constant light and firm / strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required. Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around mechanical and other electrical devices. Team Member may be around flame / heat generated devices. Team members may have to work in confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and / or humid conditions as well as around dirt / dust, moving objects, high places, and slippery surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud at times and possible exposure to vibrations. Team Member may be exposed to fumes / odor and / or secondhand smoke. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Periodic advanced floor care duties include stripping, buffing, and waxing of hard floors, carpet extraction and shampooing, and marble maintenance.
- Vacuum carpeted floor surfaces.
- Dry and wet mop hard-surface floors.
- Mix chemicals accurately and safely to perform duties.
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and report any malfunctions or safety hazards to management.
- Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
