Commercial Supervisor

Position : Commercial Supervisor.

Location : McAllen, TX area.

Pay : $18.00 / hour.

Classification : Full time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Supervise work activities of janitorial personnel in commercial and industrial establishments.
• Leads, guides, and / or trains custodians in applicable procedures and techniques.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Must be available to work flexible shift hours including weekends.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as needed including : Dust, Mops Floors, Vacuum Carpets, Cleans Restrooms and restocking paper and soap supplies, Empties trash receptacles, and bags trash for proper disposal when necessary.
• May purchase janitorial supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, train new employees, and recommend dismissals.
• Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services and take corrective action.
• Recommends personnel actions, such as hires and discharges, to ensure proper staffing.
• Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required.
• Inspect potential worksites and create proposals.
• Must perform other duties as assigned.
