We are currently looking to add an experienced Maintenance Technician to our production team! Below is more regarding job specifics.
The Maintenance Technician supports the Maintenance Mechanic and Plant Maintenance Manager in performing routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment servicing throughout the concrete manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for assisting with mechanical work, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring production equipment operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Maintenance Mechanics with troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment, including mixers, batch plants, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and motors.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks such as tightening bolts, changing filters, lubricating equipment, and replacing worn parts.
- Support scheduled preventative maintenance activities and document work performed.
- Help maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and shop organization.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other plant equipment as trained.
- Assist with building maintenance tasks such as minor plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.
- Clean work areas, remove debris, and help ensure the maintenance shop and plant remain safe and organized.
- Follow all safety policies, lockout / tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Report equipment issues, hazards, and downtime to maintenance leadership promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant operations.
Requirements
Required :
1-2 years of previous mechanical or maintenance work.Ability to use hand and power tools safely.Willingness to learn plant equipment and maintenance processes.Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in an industrial environment (heat, dust, noise).Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.Preferred (but not required) :
Experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete, or industrial settings.Basic welding, electrical, or hydraulic knowledge.Forklift certification or ability to obtain.Benefits
