[job_card.job_description]Minimum years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a specific focus on perception systems and sensors. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Experience with low / high voltage circuits, Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS), and how to safely troubleshoot. Understanding of hardware and software systems architecture, communications to support in an operations setting. Embraces a holistic problem-solving approach to identifying issues with high-level vehicle functions and drive specific resolution into single components. Self-starter, ability to build relationships across the company. Ability to comprehend schematics, electrical diagrams, connector end views / pinout. Experience with electric vehicle technology. Experience with remotely supporting vehicle troubleshooting. Knowledge of vehicle systems and diagnostics tools. Experience with Linux & Python-based programming systems for fleet-level data processing. Experience with software that interfaces with hardware. Familiarity with networking, TCP, and socket programming. Excellent growth and advancement opportunities
Our Client, a Av Manufacturing company, is looking for a Fleet Support Engineer for their San Francisco, CA location.
Responsibilities :
- The Fleet Support Engineer on the Vehicle Development team will be actively engaged in the operational uptime of our fleet.
- The ideal candidate will be a technical expert, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, meticulously documenting troubleshooting processes, and providing real-time support for daily operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations for sensor-related fleet issues.
- Conduct in-depth root cause analysis through comprehensive log review to identify and resolve fleet issues.
- Develop, update, and maintain a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for technicians, incorporating newly diagnosed faults and their resolutions.
- Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components (LiDAR, radar, cameras, etc.).
- Design and implement diagnostic procedures to streamline future troubleshooting processes, with a focus on sensor calibration and data integrity.
- Historical review of vehicle / fleet data, including sensor data, identifying trends and issues.
- Collaborate with engineering design teams to enhance tooling and improve issue detection capabilities.
- Develop and implement effective countermeasures across the fleet to prevent recurring issues.
- Define and capture essential data points to validate issue resolution and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement in vehicle performance and reliability.
