Role Summary
We are seeking a senior leader who combines
Management Consulting expertise ,
Retail Product Management experience , and a strong track record of
driving strategic growth in Retail accounts . This role blends
strategic consulting ,
Retail domain expertise ,
Analytics / AI solutioning , and
Retail product build-out . The ideal candidate can engage C-suite clients, shape product-led solutions, build multi-million-dollar relationships, and lead the development, launch, and scaling of Fractal’s retail-focused products.
Key Responsibilities
Lead executive-level conversations across Merchandising, Supply Chain, Stores, Digital, Marketing, and Customer domains.
Diagnose business challenges, shape hypotheses, build business cases, and design consulting engagements.
Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding clients’ strategic priorities, operating models, and analytics maturity.
Guide clients on emerging areas such as retail media, demand forecasting, personalization, shrink reduction, and omnichannel transformation.
Retail Business Development & Growth Leadership
Strategically drive new business in select Retail accounts in close partnership with solution teams and core account leaders.
Manage assigned revenue and margin targets; proactively identify whitespace and expansion opportunities.
Lead solution sales campaigns independently within large, multi-threaded accounts.
Educate clients on Fractal’s full portfolio (AI, Engineering, Design, Behavioral Sciences) and how they solve business challenges.
Craft compelling value stories and facilitate workshops, POVs, and co-innovation sessions.
Retail Product Management & Product Build-Out
Translate retail business needs into detailed product requirements, user journeys, and acceptance criteria.
Own product vision, roadmap, and feature prioritization for retail-focused SaaS, GenAI, and analytics products.
Partner with engineering, design, and data science to move concepts → prototypes → MVP → scaled products.
Conduct product discovery with users (buyers, planners, store managers, supply chain leads, digital merchandisers).
Develop market positioning, pricing strategies, and GTM collateral for new product offerings.
Ensure that products embed cutting-edge AI / ML and decision-intelligence capabilities.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Delivery Excellence
Lead global, multi-disciplinary teams across consulting, engineering, design, analytics, and client services.
Ensure strong governance, risk management, and delivery quality across programs.
Create repeatable playbooks, frameworks, and accelerators to scale solutions across multiple retail accounts.
Drive change management, user training, and adoption efforts to ensure product and solution success.
Success Profile (How the Role Will Be Measured)
A. Product Success Metrics
Launch of MVP / major releases aligned with roadmap timelines.
Demonstrated adoption and value realization for at least
2–3 retail accounts
in the first 12 months.
Measurable improvements in client KPIs (forecast accuracy, inventory turns, conversion, NPS, shrink, etc.).
Clear product-market fit validated through user feedback, usage metrics, and commercial traction.
B. Commercial & Growth Outcomes
Achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets for assigned accounts.
Proven expansion of existing accounts and win of new logos / product-led deals.
Consistent creation of a healthy pipeline through thought leadership and solutioning.
C. Consulting & Delivery Excellence
High-quality engagement delivery with strong client satisfaction scores.
Ability to frame problems, lead analysis, and synthesize insights into executive-ready recommendations.
Blueprint and playbook creation that strengthens Fractal’s retail consulting & product ecosystem.
D. Leadership & Influence
Ability to lead globally distributed teams and inspire cross-functional collaboration.
Seen as a credible retail thought leader and internal navigator for complex client situations.
Qualifications & Skills
15+ years in the data, analytics, AI, or digital transformation space with extensive
direct retail client interaction .
Strong consulting foundation (strategy consulting, advisory, transformation programs).
Hands-on product management experience (roadmapping, discovery, MVP build, GTM).
Demonstrated success in driving account growth in scaled retail accounts.
Deep understanding of retail data & analytics across Merchandising, Stores, Supply Chain, Customer / CRM, Marketing, eCommerce.
Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems, data engineering, experimentation / personalization platforms, reporting systems, and AI / ML applications.
Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) with proven ability to present to C-levels.
Strong commercial and storytelling abilities—mapping client pain points to Fractal capabilities.
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and lead in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
Strong people leadership and ability to mentor large distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, Engineering, OR, Statistics) preferred.
Hands-on analytics delivery experience (BI / Visualization, Data Science, Cloud) is an advantage.
Travel may be required.
Pay
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is :
$147,000 - $234,000 . In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
Benefits
As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
