🔍 Key Responsibilities

First assist in thoracic surgeries , especially robotic lung resections and foregut procedures

Operate in the OR and assist with pre-op clinic evaluations and planning

Work closely with a surgical team but exercise a high level of independent decision-making

Perform bedside assisting , including robotic docking, troubleshooting, and workflow management

Work with adult patients only

Document in Epic EMR

🗓 Schedule

4 days / week (10-hour shifts)

No nights, weekends, or call

Ongoing assignment with flexibility for long-term engagement

Requirements

Board Certified PA (NCCPA)

Active Michigan license

Extensive thoracic OR experience – or strong cardiac OR first assist experience

Robotic surgery experience strongly preferred (especially with lung resections & foregut)

Comfortable working autonomously in both OR and clinic

ACLS & BLS (AHA) certified

Clean background check required
