Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital. The Registered Nurse (RN) prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
- Administer medication and medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
- Assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations.
- Initiate and document special treatment procedures.
- Provide and direct milieu management.
- Document nursing care, treatment and patient’s response to treatment.
- Provide health education to patients.
- Ensures patient dignity and respects patient values.
- Maintain patient’s privacy and confidentiality.

Night Shift: -hour shifts, 7p-7:a and alternating weekends, 2 shifts/week.
This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3./hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5./hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5./hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7./hr. *must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.

Qualifications - The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment is critical.
- Current license to practice nursing in the state of Colorado (or eligible to receive or renew).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred.
- One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing, preferred.
- Ability to provide therapeutic care to patients with a variety of mental health needs.
- Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management.
- Current CPR BLS certification through American Heart Association, or ability to learn, this training is provided during training period.
