Pipe Layer

General Summary:

• Western Engineering Contractors Inc. is seeking a qualified Pipe Layer for our Underground Division for full-time employment.
• Western Engineering is a local contractor that is based in Loomis and performs work in the greater Sacramento area and surrounding foothills. Western Engineering is a reputable company that has been rooted in the industry for over 40 years.

Essential Functions:

• Performs a combination of tasks, usually working in a utility capacity, as a member of a construction crew on a project consisting of grading, underground utilities, asphalt paving, and/or miscellaneous other construction work.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma preferable.

Experience Requirements :

• 3 or more years of construction experience encompassing grading, underground utilities, and asphalt paving.

Desired Knowledge and/or Skills:

• Dependable, quality oriented, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Competent with laser set-up and use (senior level-grading). Some familiarity with plan and stake reading (grading & underground). Benefits Health, vision, Life insurance, and dental insurance plans offered.
