We are looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician I to join our team in Sterling Heights, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to work closely with customers and ensure the proper functioning of vital systems.
Responsibilities :
- Install, test, and troubleshoot equipment on-site to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions by implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including logs and reports of work performed.
- Collaborate with customers to address technical issues and provide exceptional support.
- Follow established procedures and policies to complete routine assignments effectively.
- Conduct training sessions for customers on equipment use and maintenance.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and technical teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant policies during service activities.
- Assist in the implementation of quality assurance measures to maintain system reliability.
- Provide support for international travel assignments as required.

Initial training : Day shiftAfter training : Second shift (Mon–Fri, 4 : 30 PM – 1 : 00 AM)Overtime : Likely, no restrictionsKey Responsibilities
Configure, operate, and maintain handheld and desktop systems, servers, and wireless networks.Verify all systems are operational and maintain continuity between shifts.Support equipment and systems for vehicle testing.Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve system operation issues.Document findings and communicate with management and engineering groups.Maintain an organized and clean work environment.Required Skills
Knowledge and expertise in Windows operating systems management (Linux familiarity is a plus).Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience in vehicle diagnostics, fault codes, and electrical / electronic systems is highly desirable.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.Familiarity with structured problem analysis and troubleshooting.Work Environment
Office and maintenance shop located inside a vehicle factory near the assembly line.Access to computer, desk, and workbench.
