Join our Environmental team and contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and environmentally compliant facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep of the facility, grounds, and all property elements.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sweep facility areas.
• Move materials and scrap metal.
• Eliminate debris and waste.
• Maintain general facility upkeep.
• Participate in production activities.
• Pick and sort materials.
• Load and unload shipments.
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance.
• Dispose of trash and debris by sweeping and shoveling.
• Use pressure washers on equipment.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

Work in a steel, metal, and auto recycling facility with over 100 years of history. The site in Oakland features both an indoor production area and a large outdoor yard. Expect an environment with heavy machinery, moving parts, loud noises, and dust. Positions are primarily in the Joint Products department, which offers a partially indoor experience. The dress code requires steel toe shoes, pants, a plain t-shirt or sweater, and a provided vest. Shifts include both AM and PM options, with potential Saturday overtime twice a month. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
