As a Clinical Nurse III, you will play an essential role in assessing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality patient care throughout their healthcare journey. Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, and perform necessary treatments and procedures with precision.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to comprehensively assess patient conditions.
- Monitor and assess patient needs, ensuring appropriate responses and adjustments in care.
- Make sound clinical judgments to enhance patient care management.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care.
- Direct and mentor ancillary personnel while upholding nursing standards.
Qualifications :
Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree.Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory.Prior experience as a PCA or nursing assistant is preferred.Commitment to continuous education and professional development.Knowledge of quality improvement concepts, principles, and tools.This role is essential for enhancing patient care and improving outcomes within Albany Medical Center's Hematology / Oncology department.
