About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Telemetry Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift : 07 : 00 - 19 : 30 Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Valid state license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : Blood product administration Cardiac telemetry expertise Central line care and management Management of cardiac drips (no titration) Management of vasoactive drips (no titration) Description : This position is for a registered nurse in the telemetry specialty. The unit consists of 54 beds primarily focused on cardiac telemetry. Most patients will be on cardiac monitors and closely monitored. Patient population includes heart failure, heart attacks, strokes, and cardiac arrhythmias. Nurses may also care for overflow medical patients if necessary. Ratios typically range from 1 : 5 to 1 : 6, but may increase to 1 : 7 during high census. Staffing changes are ongoing with new team members joining regularly. Shifts follow a 3x12-hour day schedule from 07 : 00 to 19 : 30. Nurses are required to work every other weekend and must cover two out of three holidays. Previous charge experience is preferred but first-time travelers are accepted. Charting will be performed using Cerner Powerchart. Candidates must be willing to float within the facility or to nearby affiliates as needed. All travelers must agree to adhere to professional conduct guidelines. Conduct issues may lead to contract termination.
