Position Summary:
Our client, is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Floor Technicians to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of campus floors in academic buildings, dormitories, and common areas. Your work helps create a clean and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
- Operate and maintain a variety of floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, extractors, waxing machines, and auto scrubbers.
- Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer and university guidelines.
- Assist with general custodial duties such as trash removal, restroom cleaning, and event set-up/tear-down when needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to the supervisor.
- Ensure assigned areas meet the cleanliness and sanitation standards of the university.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in floor care, specifically using buffers, waxers, burnishers, extractors, and auto scrubbers is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of floor stripping, sealing, and refinishing techniques.
- Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
