Radiology - Interventional Physician

Shift Details:

• Day Shift: 8am 5pm
• Call: 24-hour call (ends at 8am the following morning)
• Type: PRN scheduled as needed

Highland Hospital, a Level 1 trauma center, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Interventional Radiologist for PRN coverage. This role involves both scheduled daytime procedures and 24-hour call coverage, with a strong emphasis on trauma-related IR experience.

• Daytime Procedures: 5 6 per day
• Call Expectations:
  • Weekday call-back: 1x/week
  • Weekend call-back: 2x/weekend
• Procedures Include:
  • Biopsies
  • Drainages
  • Tunneled access
  • Hemorrhage control (trauma)
  • Emergency GI, Gyn, and Urology IR procedures
• Support Staff: Full team of RNs and techs during the day; occasional second IR on site
• EMR: Epic

• Board Certification: BE/BC in Interventional Radiology
• Licensure: Active California Medical License
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years post-training IR experience
  • Must be comfortable managing trauma center IR cases
  • Recent trauma IR experience required
