A company is looking for a Medical Director, Gastroenterology - Pharmacy - Remote.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and approve pharmacist denials for outpatient medication requests
Conduct coverage reviews and render determinations based on individual member plans
Collaborate with Clinical Coverage Review staff and communicate with providers regarding benefit determinations
Required Qualifications :
Active, unrestricted physician license
Current board certification in Gastroenterology
5+ years of clinical practice experience in Gastroenterology post-residency
Experience with electronic clinical systems
Ability to participate in rotational weekend and holiday call coverage
