Campus Security and Event Coordinator - Weekend Shift

Who You Are

The Episcopal Academy seeks a dependable observant and service-oriented Campus Security and Event Coordinator to join our Facilities and Operations team. Reporting to the Manager of Campus Safety you will play a key role in maintaining a safe welcoming and well-organized campus environment particularly during events and weekend activities. This full-time position consists of ten-hour shifts Wednesday - Saturday.

What You Will Do

  • Patrol campus grounds and buildings respond to emergencies and service calls render aid investigate criminal activity / suspicious incidents and enforce school regulations.
  • Serve as a safety officer for campus events coordinating security needs and providing logistical support to ensure smooth safe operations.
  • Collaborate with staff on operational issues including building access event setup traffic flow and parking.
  • Assist with safety protocols such as fire drills lockdown exercises and emergency response coordination.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies for the operations and procedures of events.
  • Support campus operations during inclement weather including snow removal and dismissal procedures.
  • Document and report event-related issues concerns and outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

About You

The ideal candidate for the Campus Security / Event Coordinator at The Episcopal Academy will :

  • Maintain composure and ensure events run safely and efficiently.
  • Be skilled at working with all members of The Episcopal Academys community : students faculty staff administrators parents and visitors.
  • Demonstrate strong discretion problem-solving abilities and quick decision-making.
  • Possess excellent time-management communication and organizational skills.
  • Be flexible friendly and capable of navigating challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Bring experience with safety and security best practices preferably in an academic setting.
  • Hold First Aid and CPR training (preferred).
