High School Special Education Teacher

Full-Time Contract

Aurora, CO

Overview :

Our partner school is seeking a dedicated High School Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, student-focused, and experienced in delivering accommodations and modifications within both inclusion and resource settings.

Special Education Teacher Responsibilities :

Provide direct instruction to students with IEPs in small-group, resource, and / or inclusion environments

Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements

Collect and interpret progress data to adjust instruction and support student growth

Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team collaboration sessions

Manage classroom behavior using evidence-based strategies

Special Education Teacher Requirements :

Valid Special Education Certification (EC12 or equivalent, depending on state)

Previous middle school special education experience preferred
