Dean of Students

Job Overview :

Mooseheart Child City and School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Dean of Students to support and enhance a positive school culture. The Dean of Students is a key leadership position focused on student discipline, behavior support, policy implementation, and fostering strong relationships across campus. This individual plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment, while supporting both academic and behavioral success for all students.

Key Responsibilities :

• Promote and enforce the school’s code of conduct through fair and consistent practices.
• Conduct administrative interventions and maintain accurate behavioral records.
• Support teachers with classroom management strategies and behavioral planning.
• Collaborate with Family Teachers, counselors, and the School / Home Liaison to support student needs.
• Monitor daily attendance and follow up on student absences.
• Organize and supervise student activities, including athletic events and school dances.
• Participate in training and implementation of the Mooseheart Model of Care.
• Assist with planning faculty meetings and onboarding of new staff.
• Serve as a visible and approachable presence throughout the school day.
