Business Office Assistant & Medical Records Clerk

Lawton Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation , a Generations Healthcare facility, is in search of a Medical Records Assistant / Business Office Assistant to join our team.
Job Summary :
The primary role of the Medical Records Assistant is to maintain resident medical records and health information systems in accordance with current federal and state guidelines as well as in accordance with our facility's established privacy policies and procedures. This will require conventions naming, saving, tracking and auditing files.
The Business Office Assistant portion of this role will require running eligibility of the resident's Medicare / Medi-Cal saving that, mailing out private statements, completing MC171s and faxing those to the appropriate parties, communicating / following up with private accounts, and possible secondary claims billing.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in computer use, able to navigate systems quickly and efficiently including Microsoft office suite, a variety of online provider portals and internal document storage.
