The person in this role will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes for next generation semiconductor tools, with a focus on defect characterization, mitigation, and metrology support. JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Develop and optimize processes for advanced semiconductor manufacturing tools
- Design, execute, analyze, and document experiments using DOE and statistical analysis methods
- Operate wafer inspection systems and metrology tools; perform routine maintenance on imprint and metrology equipment
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and customers to identify requirements and implement defect-reduction strategies
- Coordinate and qualify client tools and technologies for specific customer applications
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships and provide applications support
- Contribute to intellectual property development, including patents
- Domestic and international travel up to ~10%
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or other relevant engineering / physical science disciplineMinimum 3 years of hands-on semiconductor processing experienceExperience with DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis; proficiency with JMP or similar softwareStrong problem-solving and organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsLithography experience and prior contributions to patents or patent applications are a plusMust be able to work in a cleanroom environment and lift up to 25 lbs as neededAustin (Southwest), TX
