Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Oversee portfolio-level accounting, metrics, and financial execution.
- Lead and develop a team of business accountants and shared services staff.
- Manage month-end close, financial statement preparation, and reporting packages with an emphasis on accuracy and speed.
- Build and analyze budgets, forecasts, and performance reports; support business leaders with financial insights and strategic analysis.
- Drive cash management discipline, including working capital optimization and treasury oversight.
- Lead audit preparation and serve as primary contact for external financial and banking auditors.
- Produce shareholder reports and coordinate year-end tax-related documentation.
Operations, Systems & Process Optimization
Serve as the in-house expert on ERP administration, optimization, and security.Enhance processes related to billing, receivables, payroll oversight, and inventory management.Identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve visibility across the portfolio.Manage office systems, equipment contracts, and external consultants when necessary.HR & Shared Services Oversight
Act as primary contact for the PEO; help shape HR processes, policies, and standards.Oversee performance review processes and maintain employee data via HRIS.Address employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and policies.Manage 401(k) administration, benefits participation reporting, and insurance programs across the portfolio.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred.10+ years of progressive accounting / finance experience, ideally with cost accounting expertise.Proven leadership ability with experience developing and managing teams.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and modern ERP systems.Demonstrated ability to operate with discretion, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement.Experience in fast-paced, small-business or entrepreneurial environments is highly valued.Personal Attributes
