Job Description : SIMS Engineer

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Engineer Senior you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Systems Engineer Senior joining our team to review, analyze and Tier III support for patches and updates, to include testing the baseline in the Engineering Operations Facility (EOF) prior to release to the RCCs.
HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
- Provide NetOps engineering support for the integration of the SIMS NetOps capability into the Army’s global Enterprise from the site level up, consisting of, but not limited to, ArcSight® Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), ArcSight® Database, ArcSight® Consoles, and ArcSight® Loggers.
- Coordinate, review and maintain system documentation.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- You will also develop Enterprise Technical Procedures (ETPs) with the directions to apply patches, upgrades and security configurations and / or updates to the baseline system in the EOF for testing IAW with the STIGs.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and current DISA’s hardening protocol.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $106,950. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
