Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - PreOp Job Details : Work three 12-hour shifts per week with varied start times, may begin as early as 5 : 00 AM 2 positions available with preferred start date of 12 / 15 or may consider 1 / 5 start Patient ratio experience of 2 : 1 required Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted Must have 2 years of experience in service line Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Flu vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only Care for patients of all age groups : adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics Perform pre-operative assessments, education, and medication administration Manage various surgical procedures including cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery cases Skills include IV management, pain assessment, wound care, and monitoring patients pre and post procedures Charting system experience required, Altera experience preferred Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I / II experience preferred Must complete mandatory drug screening upon arrival including marijuana testing Local radius requirement : must live more than 150 miles from facility Hard documentation due date : Thursday 2pm CST prior to start Complete 6-8 hours of non-billable modules during orientation Facility : This healthcare organization operates as a comprehensive medical center providing advanced surgical and trauma services to the community.
