Responsibilities Del Amo Behavioral Health System has an exciting opportunity for a per diem/on-call Mobile Crisis/Psychiatric Assessment Team Clinician.
The Mobile Crisis/Psychiatric Assessment Team (PAT) Clinician provides high quality assessment, intervention, triage and teaching for clients in emergency rooms, hospitals, residential facilities, private therapist offices, care centers, and group homes, in the communities surrounding Del Amo Hospital (“Hospital”). Evaluations for treatment and interventions shall be provided in a manner consistent with the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the Hospital.
Generous compensation, $ per assessment!!! All shifts available! Expenses for driving to and from PAT Assessments is paid at . cents per mile round trip.

Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Nursing degree from accredited school of nursing as a registered nurse or licensed psychiatric technician; or
Master’s degree in social work, therapy, counseling, psychology or related field, or doctorate in psychology as a Ph.D. or Psy.D.
Credentials: Licensure as follows:
- As a psychiatric technician by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians;
- As a registered nurse by the California Board of Registered Nursing;
- As a social worker or marriage and family therapist by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; or
- As clinical psychologist by the California Board of Psychology.
Experience: Minimum of 1 ½ years licensed experience working with psychiatric patients.
Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (“LAC-DMH”) Requirement(s):
- Must complete the Lanterman-Petris-Short Act (“LPS”) Designated Training offered by the LAC-DMH Training Division;
- A passing score on the LAC-DMH, LPS Designation Exam;
- Approval for designation to Del Amo Hospital by the President/Medical Director of the Del Amo Hospital Medical Executive Committee; and
- Must meet all other LAC-DMH requirements.
