Investment Banking Operations Specialist

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work hybrid with our client in Jersey City, NJ. Interested? Here's what you'd do :

  • The Operations Specialist - Unique Processing Team is directly responsible for specialized functions within Trade Processing.
  • Including the processing and settling of security trades at DTC, as well as security and cash movements on custody, client communication, and reconciliation.
  • Transaction Processing - Process assigned tasks in an efficient and effective manner for our custody clients and accounts.
  • Verify trade information against the broker's presentation, security, and cash transactions received from the client.
  • Manage daily volume.
  • Problem Resolution - Review and resolve trade discrepancies with the necessary parties.
  • Escalate problem trades to management.
  • Communications - Communicate professionally and constructively via email, phone, and other channels with internal and external clients and counterparties to effectively resolve issues, minimize risk, and reduce exposure.
  • Provide superior client service.
  • Communicate as part of a team.
  • Process Improvement - Gain efficiencies to improve individual productivity.
  • Gain an understanding of the big picture - how a specific function impacts the firm.
  • Contribute to Division or Firm process improvement activities.

  • Hours : 40 hours / week.

    Job Requirements

    Required Skills / Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in transaction processing or trade operations

    • Preferred Skills / Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated PC skills
  • Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve a problem
  • Ability to communicate professionally through practical verbal and written skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Organizational skills and detail-oriented
