Order Entry Pharmacy Lead

SUMMARY The Order Entry Lead is a senior, experienced member of the Processing Team who provides day-to-day direction and operational judgment to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant order entry. While not a supervisory role, this individual leads by example, exercises sound decision-making, and proactively identifies risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement across the order entry function. The position partners closely with Customer Service and the back-end teams to maintain continuity of care and support service excellence. This role also plays a key part in refining team procedures and processes to ensure order accuracy, completeness, and consistency in delivery to patients. SCHEDULE
- Onsite position working evenings and weekends; holiday coverage as needed. Primary shift begins at 12 : 30 PM, with occasional shifts starting at 2 : 30 PM.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Processing Team in their day-to-day operations by providing guidance, helping to set team goals, and monitoring performance metrics to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracy.Analyze client feedback to identify common issues and areas for improvement.Contribute to the development and implementation of Order Entry initiatives aimed at optimizing workflow, accuracy, and service quality.Provide insights and recommendations to management on process improvements, operational efficiencies, and system enhancements based on frontline experience.Communicate effectively and professionally with contracted hospices and patients to ensure service excellence.Support resolution of customer service escalations by investigating issues, coordinating with relevant teams, and ensuring follow-through.Partner with Filling and Dispatch teams to streamline interdepartmental operations and improve order fulfillment timelines.Ensure proper documentation and continuous updates of all front-end pharmacy procedures to maintain compliance and support team trainings.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active Pharmacy Technician license in good standing5 years of pharmacy processing experience including at least 2 years of LTCExperience with QS1 system preferred (2 years); familiarity with DocuTrack is helpfulStrong interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skillsProven ability to communicate professionally and effectively with providers, patients, and team membersExcellent organizational planning and time management skillsAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityHigh attention to detail and accuracy in data entryStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Google Workspace and / or Microsoft Office 365Fluency in spoken and written EnglishAbility to learn new systems or processes quicklyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform essential office tasks, including prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment; and occasional lifting or carrying of up to 25 pounds.
