The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently pursuing a new opportunity that has openings for a Data Management Engineer to work in Fayetteville, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission. In this mission we are focused on providing innovative, data-driven solutions and enterprise architecture enhancements to enable seamless operations across USSOCOM's global network. The program emphasizes rapid development and deployment of technologies to enhance the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in both combat and non-combat scenarios. Key tasks include program management, application development, training support, and technology integration to maintain USSOCOM's operational edge. The EDAT program underscores agility and adaptability, ensuring SOF professionals have access to the information and tools they need to meet evolving mission requirements.

Primary Responsibilities.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable data management solutions to support storage, retrieval, processing, and analysis of large datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including data analysts, scientists, and software developers—to define and prioritize data management requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency across data sources and systems, and enforce best practices for metadata and documentation.
• Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with DoD regulations, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and DISA STIG.
• Architect and manage data storage solutions, including relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Support analytics and reporting by ensuring datasets are properly formatted, validated, and accessible to authorized users.
• Work with analysts and data scientists to support the development of data-driven solutions, including predictive models, dashboards, and machine learning pipelines.
• Provide technical support and training on data management tools and technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, ETL tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Stay current with emerging technologies in data management, cloud storage, big data, and artificial intelligence and apply innovations to improve performance and mission outcomes.
• Support initiatives for data mining, advanced analytics, and visualization that drive operational insights and decision support for the EDAT program.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
