CR288 Virtualization Engineer

Job Summary (Virtualization Engineer - CR288)

• Lead and coordinate multiple concurrent migration projects (M365 Azure Nutanix) with strict deadlines.
• Migrate workloads and applications from VMware to Microsoft Azure and M365 environments.
• Deploy and transition Data Center and remote office systems from VMware to Nutanix virtual environments.
• Review develop and optimize architecture and migration plans for Nutanix and Azure in collaboration with vendors and internal SMEs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT teams ensuring issue resolution and escalation as needed.
• Develop automation solutions (e.g. using Ansible Python) to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
• Ensure architecture and systems meet security best practices and optimize Azure spending.
• Lead project design implementation system administration and infrastructure support activities.
• Coordinate maintenance support and after-hours / on-call operations for business systems.
• Participate in root cause analysis and preventative measures for production and pre-production issues.
• Maintain advanced technical expertise in virtualization cloud architecture security storage and networking technologies (Azure Nutanix VMware AWS M365 Defender Sentinel SAN NAS network security).
