Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $100,000 to $125,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage the monthly accounting close process, including recording operational activity and journal entries.
- Prepare monthly schedules to support balance sheet and income statement reporting.
- Record rental and ancillary income, reconcile to cash receipts, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed assets and calculate monthly depreciation and amortization expenses.
- Analyze financial data, compare actuals to budget, and explain significant variances.
Requirements :
Demonstrate credibility, ethical conduct, and a strong sense of confidentiality.Work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks efficiently.Communicate effectively with strong written and verbal skills.Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, AMSI, eSite, QuickBooks, and other accounting software.Analyze, organize, and summarize complex financial and legal information accurately.Qualifications :
A Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting.Preferably maintain a CPA designation, though not required.4+ years of accounting and finance experience, ideally in multifamily real estate.Understand GAAP, modified cash basis, and cash basis accounting principles.Interpret partnership agreements, waterfalls, and debt agreements with accuracy.REF#50840
