The Site Supervisor directs and manages on-site construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment. Site Supervisor enforces the company’s direction, policies, procedures and safety standards while meeting construction deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Leads and controls skilled labor and work crews engaged in all project activities.
- Ability to optimize resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works.
- Able to demonstrate good organizational skills, following policies, procedures, and work practices.
- Must be a good communicator to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to his workforce.
- Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment, and materials.
- Supervises work crews to best utilize manpower and materials, exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness.
- Must be efficient in plan reading and construction processes to effectively perform various job duties.
- Be proactive in all areas of safety and recognize potential safety issues and hazards
Qualifications

The job will primarily be on or around outdoor construction sites in petrochemical and / or refining operational units and include possible hazardous environments such as confined spaces and working at heights. Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, irritants and smoke may occur. Special Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary to control some hazardous environments. Additional forms of PPE may be required depending on the particular project. Safety requirements must be verified and meet standards set forth by client permits, policies and procedures, and be performed in compliance with all federal, state and local laws or ordinances before work activities can begin.
