[job_card.job_description]Performs building maintenance as required, i.e. painting, plumbing repairs, etc. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facilities equipment, i.e. air compressor, HVAC system, etc. Will work from rough sketches and drawings. Oversee contract work. Maintain and update maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with ISO, GMP, and company policies. Respond to facility alarms, excursions, and emergency situations, ensuring systems return to operational standards quickly. Being able to be on call and work after hours. Support cleanroom environmental controls, including pressure differentials, temperature, humidity, and particle monitoring. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to support cleanroom operations and continuous improvement. Follow all cleanroom contamination control procedures, including proper gowning, sanitization, and cleaning protocols. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) programs. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. For those individuals that supervise others, the following statements are applicable : Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy. Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System. Knowledge Complete knowledge of the job. Applies thorough knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area, strong knowledge of HVAC system and working knowledge of other related disciplines. Cognitive Skills Performs mostly non-routine assignments requiring basic interpretation of established procedures. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives. Soft Skills Customer service-oriented, with good manners and the ability to suggest alternatives. Must effectively handle tickets and maintain a professional attitude. Supervision Received Consequence of Errors Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve. Contacts Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and / or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature. At least 5 years of experience in Facilities Technician or equivalent related functions. Strong knowledge of HVAC, filtration systems, and building utilities. Basic understanding of electrical, fire alarm systems and control systems. Familiarity with ISO 14644 cleanroom classifications and GMP regulations (preferred). Ability to follow SOPs and detailed maintenance procedures. Proficiency in using hand tools, test instruments, and maintenance equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and verbal. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred. 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or cleanroom environment (manufacturing, pharma, biotech, or semiconductor experience preferred). Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and preventive maintenance programs a plus. OSHA safety training (Lockout / Tagout, confined space, PPE) preferred, complete knowledge of the job. Applies thorough knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area, strong knowledge of HVAC system and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
