We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV- Sustainability to support districtwide capital construction, modernization, and sustainability projects under the BuildLACCD Bond Program.
- Salary Range : $140K / Year-$150K / Year - Dependent on Candidate's Qualifications
Hybrid Schedule : One (1) work-from-home (WFH) day per week
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support sustainability-focused electrical engineering projects under LACCD’s Bond ProgramSupport electrification of central plants and building systems aligned with the District’s Clean Energy ResolutionApply sustainable building principles to resolve complex, system-level electrical issuesSupport districtwide initiatives including energy master planning, carbon reduction, grid resiliency, and electrificationPerform electrical engineering analysis and prepare technical reports supporting District design guidelinesEnsure integration of advanced systems such as LED lighting, PV, BESS, EV charging, microgrids, and smart controlsCoordinate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to meet project requirements and schedulesProvide technical review and peer support for RFCs, change orders, and other project documentationParticipate in all phases of capital projects, from planning and design through construction and closeoutAttend project and construction meetings at various sites as requiredQualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in design, construction, or facilities infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of California Energy Codes, Title 24, NEC, CALGreen (CCR Part 11), and applicable electrical engineering standardsPreferred
Experience with educational facility constructionExperience and / or certification with LEED and / or CHPS projectsCalifornia Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical EngineeringWhy Join Greenridge?
