Associate Director of Finance
Location : Nashville, TN Compensation : $200,000 - $250,000 annually + Bonus Reports To : Senior Finance Leadership
About the Position
Join a high-profile finance team supporting a landmark mixed-use development in downtown Nashville. This expansive project spans commercial and residential towers, entertainment venues, green spaces, and more. The Associate Director of Finance will bring structure and clarity to complex financial operations across multiple entities and stakeholders, acting as a key link between accounting fundamentals and strategic finance initiatives.
This role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to shape scalable processes as the organization grows through future phases and partnerships.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Reporting
- Review and refine financial statements prepared by external accounting partners.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting for diverse properties and business units.
- Manage intricate cost allocations and guide property teams through financial workflows.
- Build and interpret advanced financial models, applying concepts such as DCF, IRR, and MOIC.
- Conduct market research and scenario analysis for acquisitions, development, and exit strategies.
- Collaborate with Legal and Construction teams on contracts, loan documents, leases, and agreements.
- Anticipate priorities and communicate proactively with stakeholders on project status.
- Stay informed on industry trends and provide analysis to support strategic decisions.
Operational Finance Leadership
Serve as a liaison between property management, construction teams, and internal leadership.Maintain consistency in reporting across a fast-paced, multi-tenant environment.Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for current and future development phases.Stakeholder Engagement
Deliver clear, insightful presentations to senior executives and principals.Collaborate with partners to ensure smooth operational and financial integration.Strategic Growth
Contribute to acquisition evaluations and integration planning.Design scalable processes to support long-term organizational objectives.Qualifications
Experience : 7-10 years in finance or accounting roles, ideally within real estate or construction.Education : Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; MBA or MS preferred.Certifications : CPA, CFA, or CMA strongly preferred.Background : Solid accounting foundation; Big 4 experience highly desirable.Exposure to strategic finance beyond core accounting.Skills : Advanced financial modeling and analytical expertise.Strong presentation and executive communication skills.Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume workloads under pressure.Pay Details : $200,000.00 to $250,000.00 per year
