- This position is for the day shift generally working 7 : 00am - 5 : 30pm, which includes two 15-minute break and 30-minute unpaid lunch. (50 Hour Minimum Work Week)
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite with limited travel. Any work location outside home base (more then 50 Miles) would be reimbursed with local GSA rates.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Perform installation of avionic components and systems, ensuring operational reliability and adherence to design specificationsRead instructions, such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assemblyMount and install components, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), relays, contactors, switches and terminal blocks in panel enclosuresMeasure, cut, solder and / or crimp wire and contacts to fabricate wire harnessConduct detailed installations, including intricate cable harness configurations, ensuring all avionic installations meet safety and quality standardsInspect, test and verify avionics assemblies against technical models, drawings, specification and work instructionsTroubleshoot panel system issues, carrying out necessary modifications, rework, repairs, or maintenance to resolve malfunctionsEnsure the optimal function of GSE systems by conducting thorough inspections, cleanings, measurements, and testing activitiesUnderstand and adhere to quality management systems standards, requirements, and proceduresCollaborate with teams to perform in-field harness installationsSpearhead continuous improvement efforts in avionic installation processes, prioritizing safety and operational efficiencyMaintain a collaborative team environment, effectively balancing multiple priorities and adapting to rapidly evolving project needsTreat all team members with respect and dignity ensuring a collaborative culture is continually developed and maintainedREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of an associate's degree in a related field of study (Extensive professional experience in lieu of a college education will be considered)Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrical / cable fabrication technician working with panel, wiring, and mechanical installsProven experience working from engineering drawings, wire diagrams, and electrical schematicsDemonstrated experience with avionics / panel manufacturing and operation of related test equipmentProficiency in harsh environment test and assembly proceduresExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishFamiliarity with industry standards such as IPC / WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, J-STD-001, and ANSI / ESD S20.20Proven proficiency in using measurement tools and basic math conceptsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite / 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checksPhysical ability to conduct field inspections and participate in project walkdowns which require the following activities : extensive walking in and around a shop and construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, walking on elevated platforms, walking on uneven surfaces, climbing in very small and / or confined spaces, and lifting up to 40 lbs.DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing role in aerospace or similar industry, with a focus on rack or panel fabricationProven success as a "hands-on" technical leaderStrong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilitiesElectromechanical systems and electrical / mechanical assembly backgroundIPC J-Std-001 and / or IPC-620 certification, NASA space addendum 8739.4 certificationCompany Description
