Special Education Teacher

Our Client is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide service in Baltimore, MD.

Hours
School Hours - Mon to Friday (8am to 4pm)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Establish and maintain a safe physical environment conducive to learning.
* Plan and execute enrichment experiences such as field trips.
* Write required reports/keep accurate and orderly records.
* Work effectively with other staff members in the interdisciplinary setting to address students' needs.
* Participate effectively in Interdisciplinary Meetings, staff/teacher meetings, Admission, Review, and Dismissal Committee Meetings, Planning Conferences, in-service training programs, Faculty Meetings.
* Provide guidance and direction to assigned Program Aide or Assistant Teacher, ensuring that the Program Aide or Assistant Teacher demonstrates a participating role within the classroom.
* Expand on; adapt current curriculum programs to meet student needs.
* Develop individualized education plans for all assigned students.
* Implement school-wide behavior management system.
* Share with other staff coverage for lunch periods, school trips and late bus duty and library.
* Perform other professional duties, as requested.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Must have Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree (Preferred)
* Minimum of 1 year experience working with youth with Autism
* Teaching Certificate through the Maryland State Department of Eduction (Middle to High School)
