OverviewACS Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to oversee HVAC installation projects for residential and commercial properties. The Lead HVAC Installer will be responsible for supervising installation teams, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency, and managing the installation of HVAC systems. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Duties
- Lead HVAC Installations :
- Oversee and manage the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including furnaces, air conditioning units, and ductwork.
- Supervise Installation Team :
- Manage a team of HVAC installers, ensuring work is performed according to company standards and timelines.
- Ensure Quality Control :
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards, local building codes, and manufacturer specifications. Perform final inspections on completed installations to ensure functionality.
- Training and Mentorship :
- Train and mentor junior installers, providing guidance on proper installation techniques and safety protocols.
- Customer Interaction :
- Communicate with customers to review project scope, explain systems, and address any concerns or questions during and after installation.
- Job Documentation :
- Complete daily job reports, ensuring all installations are documented accurately and that all required paperwork is submitted promptly.
- Inventory Management :
- Maintain and manage tools and materials for installation jobs, ensuring proper equipment is available and in good condition.
- Adherence to Schedules :
- Manage time efficiently, ensuring that all installations are completed within the scheduled timeframe while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Problem-Solving :
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation, offering solutions that maintain project timelines and customer satisfaction.
- Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation methods.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in both residential and commercial environments.
- Strong and system design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites.
- Physical Requirements :
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including attics, crawl spaces, and rooftops.
- Ability to work in tight spaces and heights when necessary.
- Certifications :
- Valid HVAC technician certification, EPA certification, and any relevant state or local licenses.
