Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to oversee all phases of concrete construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of concrete work, and the ability to manage crews, schedules, and quality control to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget project completion. This position requires hands-on field supervision, coordination with project managers and subcontractors, and strict adherence to safety and company standards.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise and manage crews: Oversee daily operations, including managing personnel, providing field training, and directing activities to meet project goals.
· Ensure safety: Enforce job site safety regulations, conduct toolbox talks, investigate accidents, and maintain a safe work environment for all employees and the public.
· Manage project schedule and resources: Coordinate schedules for crews, material deliveries, and equipment. Monitor and forecast labor and material needs.
· Ensure quality and compliance: Verify that all work is installed according to project specifications, blueprints, and quality standards.
· Monitor budget: Review cost reports and projections and take action to manage job costs within the contract budget.
· Problem-solving: Identify and address problems on-site, developing and implementing solutions or work-around plans as needed.
· Communication: Communicate project progress and impacts to project managers, participate in meetings, and maintain daily logs
Requirements:
· Must be over 18 years old with a valid driver's license (CDL driver licenser preferred but not required).
· Proven experience in commercial/industrial concrete construction.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
· Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans.
· Proficient in project management software (e.g., Planswift, BusyBusy, Bluebeam, MS Project preferred but not required)
· Ability to read and communicate with team members, English and Spanish preferred but not required.
