Interventional Radiology Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Roseville, CA Job Details :

We are currently seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist for a locum tenens position near Roseville, CA. This opportunity offers a chance to provide critical services in a General Acute Care Hospital that is stroke-certified but not a trauma-designated facility. The position is available ASAP and will continue on an ongoing basis, offering stability and flexibility for qualified candidates.

Key Details :

  • Start Date : ASAP - Ongoing
  • Shift Type : Day shifts with night call after 4 : 30 PM
  • Shift Hours :

Day : 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM

  • Night Call : Begins after 4 : 30 PM
  • Weekend Requirements : Yes
  • On Call Requirements : Yes
  • Practice Setting : General Acute Care Hospital
  • Support Staff :

    • Radiology Nurses and Technicians

  • Large Radiology group for overflow and after-hours reads
  • Duties Include :

    • Hospital coverage, including Interventional Radiology (IR) needs and stroke CTs

  • IR Procedures : Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, Chest tubes, Suprapubic catheters
  • CT / US-guided biopsies (Thyroid, Lung, etc.)
  • Barium studies and lumbar punctures
  • Patients Per Day : Varies based on hospital needs

    • Certification Requirements :

  • Board Certification / Eligibility : Required in Radiology
  • Required Certifications :

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration registration)
  • Licensure : Active California medical license required

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Procedural Skills : Expertise in Interventional Radiology procedures, including stroke CTs and other emergency department and ICU imaging studies
  • EMR System : Experience with Cerner preferred
