Cost Estimator

Position : Cost Estimator (Project Controls)

Duration : 6 month Contract-to-Hire - guarantee to get brought on direct after 6 months

Location : Ann Arbor, MI- hybrid option eventually

Pay rate : $40-$55 / hr+ - based on years of experience

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Must Haves :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related
• 5+ yrs experience in producing estimates and assessing cost risks in project controls or cost estimating
• Knowledge of EPC estimating methods, processes, and procedures, in addition to the estimate types, classifications, and components.
• Mechanical and Electrical background, BES or Architectural industry background
• Experience with Lump Sum Design Build estimates. Specifically understands detail level estimates and design packages
• Knowledge with Primavera and Timberline

Day to Day :

As an Estimator your primary focus will include the development and review of capital cost estimates, construction cost estimates and / or service estimates for a variety of different market sectors including Waste, Power and Industrial. Development of these estimates will typically require application of a crew-based approach including formation of crews from multiple disciplines along with performing quantity takeoffs and estimates from design drawings. Other responsibilities include data gathering and analysis, cost estimate database management, preparing basis and assumptions documentation, and performing other duties as needed.
