Locum Tenens Opportunity for a Physician Specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury / General Medicine

Location : Near Cheyenne, WY

Dates : ASAP - Ongoing

We are seeking board-certified physicians to perform a combination of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to provide essential healthcare services to veterans while working on a PRN basis.

As a physician working in this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting veterans by conducting non-treatment exams in a structured and rewarding environment. You'll have the flexibility to choose between two coverage options : traveling to perform exams at leased facilities or scheduling exams within your own practice.

Job Details :

  • Schedule : PRN basis with flexible shifts, either half-days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours).
  • Exam Types :

Non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams

  • Separation health assessments
  • Exams include :

    • Primarily interview-based assessments

  • Some physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Evaluation of traumatic brain injuries
  • No treatment or prescribing required.

    • Certification and Requirements :

  • Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties :

    • Neurology

  • Neurosurgery
  • Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • State license required in Wyoming.

    • Additional Qualifications :

  • Proficient in using a goniometer .
  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular conditions is essential.
  • Skilled in METs testing and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
  • Must own a personal laptop (no MACs).
