Senior Software Engineer

Pay Range : $130,000-150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

The Senior Software Engineer oversees the development, maintenance, and optimization of the Companys proprietary operational and reporting software systems. This role is both hands?on and strategicresponsible for defining technical direction, establishing governance and standards, and leading a small team of developers focused on delivering reliable and scalable software solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical proficiency with leadership experience in software engineering and IT operations, particularly within a distribution or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the Companys technical strategy for software applications, architecture, and development processes.
• Collaboratematerials with management and end users to assess business requirements and establish development priorities and roadmaps.
• Oversee the full software development life cycle (SDLC)from design through deploymentusing Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Lead and mentor development staff, including coding, QA, and production support functions.
• Develop and maintain systems for internal and external use, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
• Establish and enforce development standards, documentation practices, and coding guidelines.
• Manage system support, including incident reporting, resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with business units to design and maintain reports and dashboards; ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
• Maintain and integrate data across proprietary and third?party systems via APIs and SQL databases.
• Participate in hands?on coding, performance tuning, and system enhancements as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, IT governance, and applicable data security regulationsturned.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
